Thank you for using Clefo, a music-education app that helps people learn to read music. This Privacy Policy explains how Clefo handles information. Clefo is designed to respect your privacy, and especially the privacy of children.

In short: Clefo does not collect, store, or share personal information.

Who we are

Information we do not collect

Clefo does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details to use the app. We do not collect:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address
  • Your location
  • Photos, contacts, or files from your device
  • Usage analytics or tracking data
  • Any information that could identify you personally

We have no servers that receive or store your personal information, and we do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties — because we do not collect it in the first place.

Information stored on your device

Clefo saves your learning progress — such as which lessons you've completed, your streaks, points, and settings — locally on your own device. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us or anyone else, and is removed if you delete the app.

Purchases

Clefo offers a one-time purchase to unlock the full app. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and are managed using RevenueCat, a service that helps us deliver and restore your purchase.

When you make a purchase, Apple handles your payment information directly — we never see or store your credit card or payment details. To manage your purchase across your devices, a non-identifying purchase record is processed through Apple and RevenueCat. This is used only to confirm whether the app has been unlocked and to let you restore your purchase. You can review Apple's and RevenueCat's own privacy practices here:

Children's privacy

Clefo is suitable for children and is designed with their privacy in mind. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children (or from anyone). Because Clefo collects no personal information and contains no advertising, no behavioural tracking, and no social features, there is no personal data about a child for us to gather, use, or disclose.

Third-party services

Clefo uses the following third-party services strictly to operate the app:

  • Apple App Store — to distribute the app and process purchases.
  • RevenueCat — to manage and restore in-app purchases.

These services may process limited technical information as part of delivering a purchase, in accordance with their own privacy policies (linked above). Clefo does not use advertising networks, analytics services, or social media integrations.

Data security

Because Clefo does not collect or transmit personal information, there is no personal data held by us that could be exposed. Your progress data remains on your own device under the protection of your device's operating system.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if the app's features change. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review it periodically.
